Eking (VoidCrypt) Ransomware

Eking is de naam van een nieuwe ransomware-variant, gebaseerd op VoidCrypt ransomware-code.

Eking doet bijna niets nieuws als het gaat om de gevestigde VoidCrypt-formule. Het versleutelt de meeste bestanden op het systeem van het slachtoffer, vervormt hun inhoud en maakt ze onleesbaar.

Gecodeerde bestanden krijgen een nieuwe extensie die uit meerdere delen bestaat, bestaande uit de reeks slachtoffer-ID's, het e-mailadres dat wordt gebruikt door de operator van Eking en de tekenreeks ".eking". Dit zal een bestand met de naam "dociment.doc" veranderen in "document.doc.[ID string](ekingm2023@outlook.com).eking".

De ransomware laat losgeld eisen in een bestand met de naam "INFO.txt". De volledige nota gaat als volgt:

Send Test File + The Key File on Your System (File Exist in C:/ProgramData example : RSAKEY-SE-24r6t523 pr RSAKEY.KEY) to Make Sure Your Files Can be Restored

Get Decryption Tool + RSA Key AND Instruction For Decryption Process

1- Do Not Rename or Modify The Files (You May loose That file)

2- Do Not Try To Use 3rd Party Apps or Recovery Tools ( if You want to do that make an copy from Files and try on them and Waste Your time )

3-Do not Reinstall Operation System(Windows) You may loose the key File and Loose Your Files
