Eking (VoidCrypt) Ransomware

Az Eking egy új ransomware-változat neve, amely a VoidCrypt ransomware kódon alapul.

Az Eking szinte semmi újat nem tesz a bevett VoidCrypt formulával kapcsolatban. Titkosítja a legtöbb fájlt az áldozat rendszerén, kódolva a tartalmukat, és olvashatatlanná teszi őket.

A titkosított fájlok több részből álló új kiterjesztést kapnak, amely az áldozatazonosító karakterláncból, az Eking operátora által használt e-mail címből és az „.eking” karakterláncból áll. Ezzel a „dociment.doc” nevű fájlt „document.doc.[ID string](ekingm2023@outlook.com).eking”-vé alakítja.

A zsarolóprogram egy "INFO.txt" nevű fájlba ejti a váltságdíjat. A teljes feljegyzés így hangzik:
