Removing My Keypro Browser Hijacker

My Keypro is the name of a rogue browser extension that acts as a browser hijacker.

My Keypro describes itself as an extension that offers "optimized search powered by Google". Why you would need a separate extension for this instead of directly using Google's search is a bit of a mystery.

Once installed, My Keypro will change your browser's default search engine. To its credit, My Keypro's description on the Chrome Web Store actually states that plainly, but that doesn't make things a lot better.

Once installed, the extension will redirect your searches through keysearchs dot com - yet another fake search engine that will simply redirect to Google search results, as it cannot produce its own. However, your search queries will be exposed to keysearchs dot com and that information may be collected and re-sold to third parties.

Browser extensions that redirect your searches through unfamiliar search engines are not something you want to have on your system. Removal is usually easy, as the extensions commonly don't have any meaningful persistence mechanisms.
